Why does my dash say CRUISE when it does not have cruise control?

westernnwaste asked: 1991 Toyota Pickup 2.4, L4, 2wd. When the sun shines a certain way on to my tachometer, I can see that the word CRUISE is there like it is meant to be lit up when CC turns on. It does not have Cruise Control, why does it have this?
