We booked for my friends bday and are all thinking of ways to smuggle liquor on the cruise. Will they open it or what?

Just pack it in your clothes and that is all you have to do. The worst thing they would do is to take it away from you until the end of the cruise, but with thousands of bags going on a cruise ship, it is not too likely they will even have time to search too many bags looking for booze. I, myself have brought as many as 7 bottles of wine with me and no one said a thing.

Your not going through customs,so why are you worried?
If they want to take it off you, they will.

I just put it in a plastic bag and put it in with my clothes. I had two bottles of vodka. If you are a little scared to do that I have heard of people emptying out a big bottle of mouthwash with no flavor and fill it with liquor. Good luck! Have fun on the cruise. :)

Having done this many times my suggestion is to purchase the alcohol in plastic bottles. I wrap them in bubble wrap (if i have it) or a t-shirt if I dont, then place it in a ziplock type bag. So that it doesnt raise any suspician in security I pack it with all the shampoos and what nots. Ive been on 10 cruises and never had a break or it taken, Have fun
