What is the best cruise for two 18 year olds?

My friend and I are 18 and looking into cruises for the summer before college. We are looking for both fun and relaxation. We are looking more for the Caribbean cruise and whatnot, and would like more nightlife than some cruise lines seem to offer. I’ve been on Royal Caribbean once before and it was relaxing but definitely meant more for little kids or older adults. Can anyone help?

Cruise Carnival, there’s a party going on all the time.

I don’t think there are any, unfortunately. Most, if not all, cruise lines have an age limit of 21 for reserving without an adult.
Some of them make exceptions, but only for underage married couples.
Sorry, friend. You might have to wait a few years.

I think you have to be 21 to go on a cruise unless you go with a guardian that is 25 or older, so you should look into that before setting your mind on it.

Carnival…since it is a cheaper cruise, it attracts a younger crowd

At least one of the persons in the cabin must be at least 21.
Assuming you are going with parents or someone at least 21, I suggest Carnival. You are not going to be able to buy alcoholic drinks on board, though. They are very strict about that. In the Caribbean countries, you can drink at 18, but do not miss the ship by drinking too much. The ship does not wait beyond the scheduled departure time for anyone - except maybe the Captain.
Personally, I would suggest you and your friend go to an all-inclusive resort in Dominican Republic. They have good beaches, good fun at the resorts, and no problem doing all the drinking you want. Everything is included at one price.

Anyway place you go, try Princess cruise lines. They are really wonderful, but carnival is the party boat, so it’s your choice. Only thing is you will have to bring someone older to go with you. I don’t know of any cruise ships that let 18 year olds go by themselves.

I know, I know, it will sound childish, but, the disney cruise is the best by far for any age. They definitly have a lot for 18 year olds to do all of the time. they have bigger and better parties than any other cruise ships and you can eat the best food all of the time and it is included in the price so you don’t have to pay any extra every time you get a lemonade. If you go to the carribean, you will visit a disney private island also which is a hell of a lot of fun. I wouldn’t recomend any other cruise. parties all of the time.

I would definitley say Carnival cruise lines! They are beautiful ships (from what i have seen) and they definitley attract college crowds. there are many things to do on the ship whether its staying up late and partying or just relaxing by the pool. You have to have an older person staying with you so just make sure you have someone supervising you over 25. thats a law on carnival. This and the drinking age are under FAQ on carnival’s website. So if you were to pick any cruise line i would pick carnival. besides they are called the Fun Ships. I hope my answer helped. Have fun on your trip!

I understand that the Imperial Majesty is the only cruise ship that will allow 18-year-olds without an adult go on a trip. I have heard negative comments about this cruiseline so I would definitely investigate quite well before going.

I’ve been cruising with Royal Caribbean since I was 18 and I’ve never been bored, but then again I always went in the summer when all the kids my age were out of school so there was always someone to hang out with. I dont know what time of year you went on RC but if you’re going in the summer and you’re 18, you should have a lot of fun (especially on the larger ships.) But you WILL need someone over 21 to go with you.
Try Carnival if you dont like Royal, there will probably be a bit more kids your age on those ships. But with that company you will also need someone over 21.
