When do I start applying for a cruise job if I want to work in August, 2007?

Dont do NCL(Norwegian Cruiseline) as they **** for training and dont treat their staff well.
Not sure about the rooming part, just add that comment to your application crossreferencing your friends name.

All cruise employment contracts are for 6 months at a time so November or December at the latest although it may be too late for you for this summer. It doesnt hurt to try though. Good luck!
It is always possible for you both to get posted to the same ship and share a cabin if one is available, as long as you and your friend are not married. That is strictly frowned upon according to a former cruise director I know.
